Salento, a holiday between sea, sun and fun |
|
The town of Torre dell'Orso is wedged with a wide inlet along a stretch of rocky and jagged coastline of Salento.
A lush pine forest protects the shoulders of this beautiful seaside town whose name derives from a square tower built for the sighting of the coastal pirates Saracen (year 1568).
The sandy beach between two rocky peaks arched, is about 900 meters wide and 20 to 40 meters. Along the cliffs there are numerous caves and karst caves of origin. The area is particularly suited to a diving safe.
Torre dell'Orso is located just 22 km south-east of the city of Lecce; belongs to the area of marine Melendugno (along with San Foca, Roca Vecchia, and St. Andrew), and is just 13 km from the town of Otranto.
At your request, we can book a transfer to and from the airport of Brindisi and Lecce. |
